I’m João.
A simple João Carlos like many other Joãos and Carlos
who, because of some tragic misshapen, had their movements ill
conditioned.
Since I’ve spent half of my life on a wheelchair
I believe I have enough experience to speak about accessibility
and primarily
the lack of it. For I know, unlike the so-called “normal people”,
what it’s like to climb up a staircase standing on my feet
and what it’s like to be physically unable to do it.
It’s in those moments that we feel how valuable a ramp is.
